The Escape Festival of Art and Music is back and will take place in the beautiful backdrop of Naukuchiatal. The festival takes place for three days starting May 24th. White Collar Hippie, a group of travel enthusiasts, will be conducting a creative retreat featuring musicians, photographers, painters and graffiti artists.

The Bangalore Open Air lineup has been announced. Compared to last year, this year’s lineup will feature more international artists with six international and two Indian bands selected to perform across two stages.

Alternative rock duo Soul Bridge – guitarist Karan Dubey and vocalist Anurag Sharma - released their debut single ‘Broken Lies’ on April 24. The single is the precursor to their upcoming self-titled debut album, scheduled to release in October 2013. Recorded at Mumbai’s Yashraj Studios with producer Shantanu Hudlikar, the six-track album also features drummer Vinayak Pol and bassist Rohit Sharma.

Four months after metal vets Bhayanak Maut announced that they were officially looking for a new bass player, that new bassist has been found. Ishaan Krishna, bassist with NerveRek and The Hoodwink Circle and guitarist with Modern Mafia, is now officially the new Bhayanak Maut bass player.

The Gyan Singh Connection, a tribute to the late Skinny Alley/PINK NOISE bassist, leads the just-announced line-up for the sixth edition of the Escape Festival in Naukuchiatal. Members of Skinny Alley and PINK NOISE will join together with a host of musicians to honour the memory of Singh.

The three-day GoMAD Festival which was set to take place in Ooty has been postponed since supporting partners have backed out. The festival was supposed to take place in just a few weeks from May 10th-12th. Festival organizers recently posted the following on Facebook—
