Speaking to Noise11, Derek Trucks says the new Tedeschi Trucks album feels like "five steps forward" compared to their 2011 debut, Revelator. "This one feels like five steps forward," Trucks says. "Everybody knows each other, everybody is more confident. It hits hard. We wrote a bunch of great tunes. I’m excited about this one. I think it will make some noise."

Guns n' Roses guitarist Richard Fortus has told Noise11 that the band is nearly done recording the follow-up to 2008's Chinese Democracy. The band have reportedly completed many songs for the new album during a recent studio visit. However, Fortus did say that the album probably wouldn't be released this year, but maybe during 2014.

The lineup for this year's Austin City Limits has just been announced, and some of the top names include Kings of Leon, Muse, and Queens of the Stone Age. Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers and Thom Yorke of Radiohead will also make an appearance with "super group" Atoms For Peace. For fans of the eighties, veteran names like The Cure and Depeche Mode are also on the bill.
