India’s Ministry of External Affairs has been releasing documentaries that explore India’s art and culture. As a part of this initiative they have released a documentary, Sound Check: Music of Contemporary India.
The film is directed by Neela Venkaraman, and was initially going to be 26 minutes but has expanded to 47 minutes. The project took more than 11 months to complete, and features many well-respected musicians including members of Indian Ocean, The Raghu Dixit Project, Swarathma, Motherjane, Advaita and Yodhakaa.
