Bangalore-based band Parvaaz is all set to release their debut EP, Behosh. The band, which draws from blues and psychedelic rock, is known to write soulful songs in Urdu and Kashmiri.
Parvaaz formed in 2010, and consists of Kashif Iqbal (lead guitarist, vocalist), Fidel D’Souza (bassist) and Sachin Banandur (drummer, percussionist). The band gained more popularity after playing at The Great Indian October Fest and The Fireflies Festival of Music.
“To be honest we never thought we were a bunch of guys who could pull this off”, said Sachin. “We had only recorded one single in the last two years because we had a certain sound in mind and we could never get that from the local studios in Bangalore”.
Behosh consists of five compositions and will release this July.
